Washington Business Journal: This alliance of regional CEOs wants a discussion of hyperloop — but wants to fix Metro first

“…The Partnership, which includes the leaders of large employers like Ted Leonsis, owner and CEO of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, Terry McCallister, chairman and CEO of Washington Gas, Russ Ramsey, CEO of Ramsay Asset Management, and Richard Fairbank, founder and CEO of Capital One Financial Corp., among others, has been in talks with the District Department of Transportation and others regarding Musk’s hyperloop technology, according to CEO Jason Miller….

The Partnership, which is part of the larger MetroNow coalition of business and civic groups, is also throwing its weight behind D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and the $178 million in Metro funding, Miller said, adding that the organization will also be pushing Maryland to dedicate its own share of funding…”
